In the name of Jesus we have power over the enemy (Luke10:19)(Verse 19) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power (dunamis) of the enemy.. Jesus sends the promise of the Father upon us (Luke 24:49)(verse 49) Behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you: but tarry you in the city of Jerusalem, until you be endued with power (dunamis) from on high. Acts 1:8 - Jesus said, But you shall receive power (dunamis), after the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Believers should be full of faith and power (Acts 6:8)And Stephen, full of faith and power (dunamis), did great wonders and miracles among the people. God anointed Jesus with power to do good and Jesus anointed us with power to do good (Acts 10:38; John 20:21-22)(Acts 10:38) - How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power (dunamis): Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him. And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and saith unto then, Receive you the Holy Ghost The twelve disciples were not the only ones given authority to use God's miraculous power after the resurrection of Jesus Christ but others have been given authority to use it that the lost would be saved. (Romans 1:16)Paul the apostle stated in (verse 16) - For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ: for it is the power (dunamis) of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. |
